Irish Loop/Boat Tour...The best of Boat worlds....come join the worlds of the land and sea combined. The Colony of Avalon in Ferryland uncovers a 16 hundreth colony that  is a must to see ...then on to Bay Bulls for an entertaining boat tour with O'Briens (voted the best).

Tour # 10  Cod Fishing 3 Hours or more

   This tour consists of a beautiful scenic drive to the small fishing community of Petty Harbour. The town of Petty Harbour is still a strong fishing village and a photographers paradise.

   You will meet a local fisherman (your captain) and board a 35 foot crab fishing boat.

   You will get a chance to try your luck jigging a codfish and many times see whales and puffins or icebergs while enjoying a ride over the waves and a spectacular view.

   When the fishing is over we will head back to Petty Harbour where you can watch your captain clean and fillet the fish caught. You will be given a fillet of fish to take home and cook if you want.

   The dates for this seasons recreational fishery have not been announced yet but last year it was in July and September so you may want to check back if you are interested.
